Common Questions
FAQ
- What is the minimum order quantity for custom lanyards?
- 100 pcs per design for woven webbing and 500 pcs for dye-sublimated printing, because sublimation runs by the metre. Hardware changes (breakaway, badge reel, keyring) do not change the MOQ.
- What is the lead time for conference lanyards?
- Woven lanyards proof in 24 hours and ship in 5–7 working days; sublimated runs ship in 4–6 days. Adding a sewn QR patch, badge reel or custom crimp adds 2 days, and container loads are packed by name so you can hand out cartons directly.
- How should artwork be prepared for a woven lanyard?
- Send a vector logo with colours converted to Pantone TCX, on a 25 mm-wide flat layout with text at least 2 mm tall and line weights above 0.5 mm. Gradient areas must be flattened — weaving reads only flat colours — and the reverse side should be specified as mirrored or duplicate.
- Woven or printed lanyard — which is cheaper at 500 pcs?
- Printed (sublimation) wins at 500 pcs because there is no loom programme fee, and it keeps gradients. Above roughly 1,000 pcs woven overtakes it on unit price and stays cheaper on every reorder, since the loom programme is a one-time cost. Woven also survives commercial laundering and does not fade at the crimp, whereas sublimated ink on white polyester can wick colour where the hardware is heat-crimped.
- Do breakaway clasps really meet child and industrial safety requirements?
- Yes, when the clasp is rated to release at 3.6 kg / 8 lb and tested to EN71-1 or ASTM F963 pull requirements — that is the standard for children and for staff near conveyors, lathes and doors. Two caveats: a single breakaway at the neck still leaves a snag point at the badge holder, so use a Y-config with two breakaways, and never ship a magnetic clasp into a hospital MRI zone.
