Design & Materials
Customization & Materials
Explore substrate, ink and finishing options for your printed labels.
01 / Substrates
Satin, Taffeta & Ribbon
Satin gives a soft hand and glossy surface, taffeta holds crisp fine detail, and cotton or polyester ribbon suits sew-in care labels.
02 / Print Process
Digital vs Rotary Screen
Digital printing suits short runs and dense colour changes; rotary screen is more efficient on long runs of fixed artwork.
03 / Inks
Water-based & Pigment Inks
Reactive and water-based inks keep names and care text sharp after laundering, while pigment inks work better on polyester-heavy blends.
04 / Cutting
Cut Shapes & Fold Options
Choose straight cut, ultrasonic soft cut, center fold or hang-loop formats cut to your garment seam.
Applications
Applications for Printed Labels
Printed labels carry long text and colour detail that woven labels cannot hold.
Care & Composition
Wash symbols, fabric composition and compliance text on inner neck and side-seam labels.
Brand & Size Labels
Full-colour logo blocks and size markings on outer neck labels for fast fashion volumes.
Sportswear & Uniforms
Soft-hand printed labels that stay flat against stretch fabrics and team kit.
Baby & Kids Wear
Smooth edge-free label formats that reduce scratching on sensitive skin.
Quality
Quality & Compliance
Print durability depends on ink chemistry, substrate and laundering regime. We help fix the specification and coordinate supplier documentation for each printed label order.
01 / Print Quality
Legibility & Colour Match
Confirm small-text legibility, Pantone matching and registration before the bulk run is released.
02 / Wash Fastness
Laundering Performance
Review wash and rub fastness results against the care regime the garment will face.
03 / Hand Feel
Edge & Surface Check
Check label softness, burr-free edges and print surface cracking on stretch applications.

Common Questions
FAQ
- What is the minimum order quantity for printed labels?
- 500 pcs per layout on digital, 1,000 pcs per artwork on rotary screen. Different sizes in the same artwork file count as one layout, so a 25 mm and 30 mm run shares the MOQ.
- How fast can printed care labels be produced?
- Proof within 12 hours, then 3–4 working days for digital and 4–6 for rotary screen. Roll winding and cross-cut folding add one day; express 24-hour runs are available for digital orders under 20,000 pcs.
- How should I prepare multi-language care label artwork?
- Send an AI or PDF with live text on a separate layer plus a spreadsheet of language blocks — we set the type to ISO 3758 symbol order and return a proof of every language panel. Text must be outlined only for the final press file, not for the editable layer.
- Is rotary screen printing or digital printing better for care labels?
- Rotary screen wins on opacity and unit cost above 5,000 pcs — it puts a dense white under black satin that digital cannot match without two passes, and spot colours stay exactly on Pantone. Digital wins on short runs, photographic gradients, QR codes and per-market language variants, since there is no screen cost and no minimum per colour change.
- Why do printed care symbols fade or crack after laundering?
- Two causes. Fading means pigment ink was printed on silicone-softened satin, which repels binder — insist on corona-treated face stock or a solvent ink with binder additive. Cracking means the label was printed while the nylon was under tension and then stretched during sewing; specify a 40D backing and relaxed-state printing, and increase the ink film on fold lines.
