Design & Materials
Customization & Materials
Packaging components are specified against three things: the surface they bond to, the line they are applied on, and the claim they must support.
01 / Facestock & Board
Paper, Film & Cork
Coated or uncoated paper, BOPP and PE film, Tyvek, cotton or kraft board, and absorbent pulp or cork for drinkware.
02 / Adhesive & Bond
Surface-matched Grades
Permanent, removable, freezer-grade and water-activated kraft adhesives, selected for the container and storage temperature.
03 / Print Process
Flexo, Letterpress & Offset
Flexo for roll labels, letterpress for natural paper tags, offset for four-colour tag artwork, gravure for printed tape.
04 / Finishing & Format
Die-cut, Foil & Roll Format
Die shapes, corner rounding, foil and embossing, hole position, then core size, winding direction and pack quantity.
Applications
Applications for Packaging & Roll Labels
Packaging branding is read once, at the door, so it has to survive the journey to be seen at all.
Bottles, Jars & Cosmetics
Wrap-around front labels, clear no-label-look seals and sample tube labelling.
Apparel Cartons & Swing Tags
Hang tags, size and price tickets, and the strings or fasteners that attach them.
E-commerce & Subscription Boxes
Branded tape, interleaved tissue and insert labels sealed in one packing action.
Food, Retail & Industrial
Nutrition and batch labels, price tickets, case sealing and logistics identification.
Quality
Quality & Compliance
Packaging fails in transit and at the applicator, so we set adhesion, compression and register tolerances before the run.
01 / Bonding
Adhesion on Real Surfaces
Confirm tack and peel strength on your actual container, including curved, textured, cold or recycled stock.
02 / Resistance
Water, Cold & Abrasion
Review condensation, refrigerated or frozen storage, wet handling and scuffing during transit.
03 / Machinability
Register, Core & Feed
Check cut and print registration, core size, unwind direction and spacing against your applicator.
04 / Claims
Paper & Food-contact Docs
Identify applicable FSC, REACH and food-contact requirements and coordinate the supporting paperwork.
Relevant Standards & Compliance
We can help source relevant certifications and compliance documents for packaging components, depending on your market.

Common Questions
FAQ
- What are the minimums on packaging components?
- Roll labels start around 1,000 pcs per design on flexo, or 250 pcs on digital with a plate surcharge. Hang tags start at 500 pcs, tissue paper around 1,000 sheets, and printed packaging tape from roughly 36 rolls because gravure cylinders are made first. Tape cylinders and label plates are one-off tooling, so reorders reuse them at no extra cost.
- Can I get every component in one shipment?
- Yes, that is the point of ordering the block as a set. Tissue and tape run faster than labels, and foil-blocked hang tags are the slowest item, so we hold the pack to the longest lead time and palletise it as one delivery. If your fulfilment needs staggered dates, tell us at order stage rather than splitting into separate purchase orders.
- How do I choose between paper and plastic facestock?
- Paper reads premium and takes letterpress and foil well, but it is not waterproof and yellows in damp storage. BOPP and PE film survive condensation, refrigeration and oil contact, which suits beverages and cosmetics. Tyvek is the choice when the label must not tear or when it is applied to textured industrial goods. Decide by the storage and use environment, not by look.
- Roll labels or hang tags — which does the product need?
- They do different jobs. A roll label is the legal and informational surface: composition, barcode, nutrition and claims, applied flat and read at shelf height. A hang tag is brand presentation and price, and it survives being handled. Retail apparel usually needs both, plus a printed care label inside the garment, so specify the tag stock and the label facestock together to avoid colour mismatch between the two.
- Why do labels curl, lift or fall off after packing?
- Most failures are adhesive-surface mismatches. A permanent acrylic adhesive will not bond to a cold or oily bottle, a removable grade creeps on a high-density PE container, and low-energy surfaces such as matte powder-coated cosmetics need a specific formulation. The other common cause is paper facestock absorbing humidity in transit, which releases tension and lifts the edge. Test the label on your real container, conditioned the way it will be stored, before approving the run.
