Design & Materials
Customization & Materials
Explore thread, base fabric and border options for your embroidered patches.
01 / Thread
Rayon, Polyester & Metallic
Rayon gives a fine glossy sheen, polyester improves wear resistance, and metallic or glow thread adds effect detail.
02 / Base Fabric
Twill, Felt & 3D Puff
Twill suits sew-on patches, felt holds bulky borders, and puff underlay raises lettering above the surface.
03 / Border
Merrow, Heat Cut & Stitch Down
Merrowed rope edges read as classic uniform patches, while heat-cut and laser borders suit shaped tactical designs.
04 / Backing
Iron-on, Velcro & Sew-on
Choose heat-activated adhesive hook, hook-and-loop backing or plain sew-on for permanent attachment.
Applications
Applications for Embroidered Patches
Embroidered patches carry logos with texture that printing cannot imitate.
Uniforms & Workwear
Chest, shoulder and sleeve identification on uniforms, coveralls and security wear.
Jackets & Vests
Large back emblems on varsity, denim and motorcycle jackets.
Outdoor & Tactical
Hook-and-loop morale and unit patches on MOLLE panels, caps and backpacks.
Caps & Baby Wear
Small embroidered appliqués on caps, bibs and childrenswear.
Quality
Quality & Compliance
Stitch density, thread break and border alignment decide how a patch reads at distance, so we fix these points before production.

Common Questions
FAQ
- What is the minimum order quantity for embroidered patches?
- 50 pcs per design at any size, with no digitising or set-up charge. Hook-and-loop paired sets carry a 100 pcs MOQ because the loop backing is laminated in batch.
- How long do embroidered patches take to produce?
- Digital mock-up within 24 hours, bulk production in 5–7 working days for standard borders, 8–10 days when the order adds 3D puff, Mylar or reflective thread. Express 72-hour service is available up to 1,000 pcs.
- What file works best for patch artwork?
- Vector AI/PDF/EPS, or a 1200 px PNG with a hard edge — we digitise it into machine stitch paths free. Split colours into layers if you need exact Pantone thread matching, and mark which shapes are puff so the digitiser radiuses them.
- 3D puff embroidery or flat embroidery — which holds more detail?
- Flat satin stitch holds the detail: at 1.5 mm minimum stroke it reproduces thin serifs, hairline rules and small text. 3D puff adds height and shelf presence but rounds every contour, so anything below 4 mm collapses into the dome, and repeated compression in a wash drum flattens the foam permanently after 20–30 cycles.
- Hook-and-loop or sew-on — what actually lasts longer on workwear?
- Sew-on outlasts every other backing — 50+ industrial cycles at 60 °C when stitched with 3 mm bleed, because the thread bond never releases. Hook-and-loop is the right call when patches rotate between garments, but the hook plate stiffens the patch and the adhesive-carried backing versions fail after roughly 25 hot washes, so demand a sew-on loop base instead of glue.
