Design & Materials
Customization & Materials
Explore material, mould and effect options for your rubber and silicone patches.
01 / Material
PVC Rubber vs Silicone
Soft PVC handles layered colour and low cost, while silicone offers higher temperature stability and a matte finish.
02 / Mould
2D & 3D Moulded Layers
Moulded layers create raised relief, and multi-layer pours produce genuine depth on logos.
03 / Colour
Pantone & Effect Options
Match Pantone colours and add glitter, glow-in-the-dark, reflective or translucent effects per layer.
04 / Backing
Hook, Adhesive & Sew-on
Choose hook-and-loop backing, heat-press adhesive, or sew-on border with holes.
Applications
Applications for Rubber & Silicone Patches
Rubber and silicone patches survive abrasion, moisture and heavy use.
Outdoor & Tactical
MOLLE identification, unit insignia and patches on backpacks and plate carriers.
Workwear & Uniforms
Durable branded patches on coveralls, hi-vis wear and service uniforms.
Sports & Team
Non-fading branding on jerseys, bags, shin guards and sports equipment.
Kids & Lifestyle
Soft rubber badges on school bags, caps, aprons and pet accessories.
Quality
Quality & Compliance
Mould tolerance and chemical limits matter most on moulded patches, so we clarify both before tooling is approved.
01 / Mould
Relief & Flash Control
Review raised detail, edge flash and layer registration against the approved mould sample.
02 / Hardness
Flex & Tear Resistance
Confirm Shore hardness, flexibility at low temperature and tear resistance for field use.
03 / Safety
Restricted Substances
Check phthalate, lead and cadmium content against destination-market limits.
04 / Documents
Compliance Support
Identify applicable standards and coordinate supporting documents with the selected supplier.

Common Questions
FAQ
- What is the minimum order quantity for rubber or silicone patches?
- 50 pcs per design for both PVC and silicone. A single cavity mould costs USD 60–120 (two-shot silicone 2.5D USD 150–250) and is refunded on orders above 1,000 pcs.
- What is the tooling and production lead time?
- Mould drawing within 24 hours, tooled sample in 5–7 working days, bulk in 7–10 working days. Reflective and glow compounds add 2–3 days because the master batch is mixed per run.
- What artwork and file specs do you need for a moulded patch?
- Vector AI/PDF/EPS with each colour layer separated and every shape closed. We return a 2D mould map showing which layers become separate tool cavities, and flag hairlines under 0.8 mm for silicone before tooling.
- Silicone or PVC patches — which is the better buy?
- Silicone wins on hand feel, heat and bleach resistance (it holds shape through 60 °C washing and industrial drying) and takes a soft matte finish, but needs a costlier multi-cavity tool for layered colour. PVC wins on sharp mould fidelity at 0.6 mm, gloss colour depth and price, yet stays stiffer, can stiffen further in cold, and its plasticiser must be specified phthalate-free for children’s product compliance.
- Can I put a scannable QR code or serial number on a moulded patch?
- Yes, with constraints: keep the QR module at 0.8 mm or larger and the whole code 15 mm square, moulded in relief against a matte field for contrast, or use a 1200 dpi printed surface layer if you need variable serial numbers per piece. Moulded-only QR codes cannot vary by unit, so serialised runs go to printed or laser-etched backing instead.
