- Epoxy domes are 1–2 mm thick, bubble-prone and yellow within a year; UV varnish domes are 80–150 µm, optically clear and non-yellowing, and cost 40–60 % less at volume with no curing jig.
- Do they work on curved or textured surfaces?
- Curves of 15 mm radius or more conform fine because the dome flexes. Lightly grained surfaces take our thinner 80 µm dome variant; orange-peel texture traps air and soft-touch rubberized coatings are not compatible.
